Hiking at St Hilaire
The plateau du Petites Roches offers a wealth of hiking routes for both experienced and leisure hikers. Starting from the southern end of the plateau walkers of all ages can climb to the Chateau Nardent from le Baure for spectacular views of the Alpes.
From the Col du Coq there are the minor summits of the Bec Charvet, Roc d'Arguille and Dome de Pravouta. The spectacular Dent du Crolles can be scaled via the direct Pas d'Oeil or from the Trou du Glas, both more serious undertakings for experienced walkers. You can return to the la Grange aux Loups by the airy and exposed Pas de Terrail.
