Snowshoeing on the Plateau des Petites Roches
There are extensive snowshoeing possibilities around St Hilaire du Touvet and on the Plateau des Petites Roches. Here are a selection of routes:
- St Hilaire: Les Sangliers : 3.2km, Les Dioux: 2.3km, Les Mandieres: 2.7km
- St Pancrasse: Chateau Nardant : 6 to 8 km
- Col du Coq : Le Bec Charvet: 2.5km, Dome de Pravouta: 2.5km
- Col de Marcieu : The Tour of the Alpette: 11km
There are 8km of prepared snowshoe trails at the bottom of the Col de Marcieu ski area. You will need to buy a ticket from the lift pass office.
The Tourist Office at St Hilaire du Touvet has a guidebook with details of the snowshoe trails. The routes are marked at intersections with a snowshoes symbol on a yellow background.
