Cross country skiing is possible at the Col de Marcieu. There is an 8km black trail and a 1km green beginners trail.

All the trails are prepared for skating and classic cross country skiing. You can get your pass at the ski pass office.

There is also a nordic ski trail which starts at St Hilaire du Touvet and traverses to the Col de Marcieu via the Chemin de Herse. The route is prepared for skating and classic on the Col de Marcieu side and for skating on the St Hilaire side. The return trip is 18km and offers fantastic views over the Belledonne range and to le Mont Blanc while the amazing ramparts of the Chartreuse tower above you.

From the col du Coq you can reach the ski trails at St Hughes on Chartreuse and le Sappey.
